How to make preparation for printing environment when do sublimation printing

Sublimation paper is not easy to deal with if you lack some basic knowledge on it. Today I will mention the key role that humidity play in this process. There are some points you should attend to:

A) Dry printing environment
If the air is too dry, it is easy to make the transfer paper warp. At this time the ink-jet printing paper absorbing large amount of ink will make itself elongate and arch which may cause friction head breakdown.

So do remember that you’d better do some measures to make your room humidity in the suitable range.

B) Wet printing environment

If the air is too wet, it will lower drying speed and make the transfer paper uneven at both ends of elongation. The base paper layer may cause the left and right elongation inconsistent due to uneven water absorption, in this case the printing pattern will be deviated or the cardboard wrinkled during this process.

a)Air conditioner

Stable ambient condition is important for sublimating process. You can install and turn on the air conditioner in the inkjet printing room.

b) Clean steel pipe

You can place a clean steel pipe (the pipe must be horizontal) between the paper feed side and the unwind side of the printer and tie the appropriate weight at both ends of the pipe so that the paper remains flat and has proper tension.

c) Spring

The remedy way is to take away some of the pickup roller small spring, Reduce the pressing force to keep the printer paper flat-moving. In this way, it is effective to prevent the transfer paper wrinkled through the pickup roller.

d)Pre-balance

You can pre-peel the plastic package two days ahead before operating to balance the water in sublimation paper.

Attention:
Printing environment humidity is best controlled at 45 ~ 70% RH.
